I'd like to say thank you so much to all readers around the world that have accompanied my blog "Blog do SiFu Marcos" so far. These international readers are increasing a lot and then I'm totally surprised. That's fantastic! I have to mark it that half of that all readers belong to the USA these last two months. Considering just last month they are eighty per cent of all visitors.
I have about 2, 500 to 5,000 readers a month. Considering this a technical blog, there are many people interested in authoral information about Wing Chun over the internet. I believe that our work with professional MMA and our confidence that Wing Chun fills that space between striking and takedowns - independently what art we work with - as we are doing here with UFC Hugo "Wolverine" Viana and the former K1 Champion Ewerton Teixeira and opening space to work with another athletes in the future made many people take us seriously as some coaches are just doing. This year (november) we presented our work to Cigano's BJJ coach and Luiz Dorea mentioned our work (in spite of Hugo had lost his last fight he used a typical Wing Chun elbow to break his opponent nose and a great fence work using our art) and many important brazilian trainers met Leonardo Chamusca, my partner in this job.
However, I don't know how many among these readers are also brazilians, portuguese or have another nationality or second language as Spanish or Italian that facilitates the reading once this blog is written in Portuguese, a latin language. As a matter of fact the google translator make it easier than ever. There are many from europe too, specially Germany and Russia.
It doesn't matter what color has our skin, or what is our language, Wing Chun is a style that depends on our mental work. Reach the roots of that knowledge is just the first step and many of us stop there. Right after that you have to improve constantly, discovering a secret that in fact our style doesn't hide but shows up moment to moment, inviting you to go beyond of it using your personal power.
